Tangential high efficiency cyclones:

Installation examples:

Retrofit of cyclones at a Büttner jet dryer in a particle board factory. Single tangential cyclone at a small shell boiler. High temperature high efficiency cyclones at a fluidised bed hot gas generator.


Features:

Properly designed and manufactured tangential cyclones offer a cost effective way to separate solids from gases with high efficiency. Tangential cyclones are robust and virtually maintenance free.

Axial cyclones and multicyclone grit arrestors
Installation examples:

5 x 20 t/h boiler retrofit in a large brewery. 16 t/h boiler retrofit at a gold mine.
6 t/h boiler retrofit at a food factory.


Features:

Axial multicyclone grit arrestor offer compact arrangements and are well suited for large plant installations. The efficiencies are lower than with tangential cyclones.

Features:

The inline axial grit arrestor is very compact and can often be installed as a replacement of a gas duct section. It offers relatively low efficiencies, but with a low pressure loss gives an economic solution to remove unburned fuel or sparks from the gas stream and so enhance overall plant efficiency or protect downstream equipment for example timber dryer.








Dry spray particle agglomeration system
Installation examples:

Increased the efficiency of a large scale cyclone installation at wood chip dryer in a particle board factory. Increased the clean up efficiency of a wet scrubber at a 160 t/h boiler at a sugar mill.


Features:

The dry spray particle agglomeration system consists of spray lances which inject a small amount of water droplets into a hot gas stream. The water droplets collect a number of small dust particles and combine them. When the water is completely evaporated, a large solid particle is generated. This larger particle is more easier removed by downstream separation equipment. This system offers a low cost method to enhance the particle collection efficiency of dust removal equipment and it works independant of collector involved (Cyclone, ESP, wet scrubber etc.).




SprayCone Multicyclone

Many cyclone retrofits in breweries, paper mills, food industries, gold mines etc.


Features:

In principle, the patented SprayCone cyclone cell is uses in the same way as the conventional axial multicyclone. However, two main features are different which turn this system into a high efficiency dust removal system:
